Learning Support Assistant (S1424)

Specific Task Contract
28.75 hpw term time  + 2 days
Band 2 point 10 – 13
(£ 14,626 minimum to £ 16,261 maximum FTE, pay award pending)

Required as soon as possible a Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a specific student. The role will involve supervising and supporting a specific student for the duration of their education at PCHS. The hours would be 8.30am to 3.00pm Monday to Friday term time + 2 additional days. The successful candidate should be a dedicated team player with high expectations for learning. Positivity and flexibility are fundamental prerequisites to this role, as well as an ability to engage effectively with young people.

Exam Invigilators  (SG008)

Casual contract
Band 3 point 14 (approx £9.16 per hour pay award pending)

We are seeking to recruit new Examination Invigilators to work with the existing team in the running of internal and public examinations at Prudhoe Community High School.

The post would be ideally suited to applicants who feel a sense of responsibility for today’s young people and who are able to work flexible daytime hours. The role is on a casual basis, throughout the academic year, with the main examination periods during May and June, and  December for ‘mocks’.

As an exam invigilator you will supervise students during examinations and complete a small amount of associated paper work. Experience of carrying out invigilation duties and the ability to use IT would be an advantage, however full training will be provided for all invigilators and all hours will be negotiated for each exam period.

We are committed to the safeguarding and welfare of young people, therefore an enhanced DBS check will be required.
