 3 x Externally Assessed Controlled Assessments, 4 Moderated Coursework Units

 

Half term Key content
1 (8 weeks) 1.    Unit 4 Combined Arts & Unit 21 Character Design – Culminating in a large scale performance just before Christmas. (Moderated February ‘19)

2.    One session per week Preparation for Unit 1 (CA) Preparing to Work In the Performing Arts Industry

2 (7 weeks) 1.    As Half Term 1 with one additional session per week Preparation for Unit 2 (CA) Responding to a Commissioning Brief
3 (6 weeks) 1.    One session per week Preparation for Unit 1 (CA) Preparing to Work In The Performing Arts Industry

2.    One Session per week Preparation for Unit 2 (CA) Responding to a Commission Brief

3.    Remaining sessions: Performing Repertoire/Songwriting/Set Design

4 (6 weeks) As Half Term 3 Controlled Assessments to take place end of April beginning of May – 2 weeks each.
5 (5 weeks) 1.    Continue rehearsals and prep of repertoire

2.    End of April into May: Unit 1 Preparing to Work in the Performing Arts Industry Controlled Assessment

3.    Mid May: Unit 2 Responding to a Commission Brief Controlled Assessment

6 (7 weeks) 1.    Prep and performance of repertoire pieces; finalise songwriting portfolio; finalise set design portfolio
BY THE END OF THE YEAR 1.    Drama Students will have completed Unit 1, Unit 2, Unit 4 & Unit 8

2.    Music Students will have completed Unit 1, Unit 2, Unit 4 & Unit 28

3.    Production Students will have completed Unit 1, Unit 2, Unit 21 & Unit 22
