Parents can give their views about their child’s school directly to Ofsted via ‘Parent View’

Parent View asks for your opinion on 12 aspects of your child’s
school, from the quality of teaching, to dealing with bullying and
poor behaviour.  Ofsted will use the information you provide
when making decisions about which schools to inspect, and when.

2017 Provisional KS4 Results

With all the changes to GCSE level qualifications it is impossible to compare any data from previous years with the exception of the Progress 8 score. This measure has been adjusted to ensure that it can be compared to 2016 and we are delighted that we have improved our performance in this measure.

  • Our provisional Progress 8 score is +0.22 which indicates that our students made significantly better progress than other students nationally from the same starting points
  • Our provisional Attainment 8 score is 48.3
  • 65% of students achieved English and maths GCSEs at grades 9-4
  • 36% of students achieved English and maths GCSEs at grades 9-5
  • 80% of students achieved English language/literature GCSE at grades 9-4
  • 65% of students achieved English language/literature GCSE at grades 9-5
  • 73% of students achieved maths GCSE at grades 9-4
  • 42% of students achieved maths GCSE at grades 9-5
  • 64% of students achieved at least two science GCSEs at A*- C
  • 21% of students achieved the EBACC qualification – this is calculated differently to previous years

Progress made in English and Maths

The government has taken the decision to first publish school league tables earlier this year than in previous years. The data set that the government will be using will not include any cases in which a student has had a paper remarked, however those remarks are included in our data to more accurately reflect the achievements of the students.
