Prudhoe Community High School was first opened in 1958. In 50 years the school has grown from accommodating approximately 350 students to accommodating 1000 students. Additional buildings have been built over the years to accommodate the increasing student roll.  Many years ago the Humanities block, Sixth Form Common Room (now the West Centre) and the Sports Hall were added, and more recently the Arts Centre, English block and Engineering block have been added.

A group of volunteers who either have connections now with the school or have had connection with the school in the past are going to plan and organise several events to take place from September 2007 until December 2008 to CELEBRATE the school's 50th anniversary - it will be a festival of celebrations.

Do you have any old photograhps showing the school and/or your year group? Do you have any stories that could 'entertain the crowds'? Please let us know. Would you like to help out?

Please visit this page regularly so that your opinion of how the school should 'mark' this special anniversary can be counted.
